3G Camp?!  3G Seminar?!  What’s that?!  The 3G Camp/Seminar is a special teaching program with a syllabus dealing with issues related to Sexuality and Boy-Girl Relationships (BGR) from a spiritual perspective, and with a strong Biblical emphasis.  This teaching program can be conducted in a camp setting or run as a weekend seminar in your church.  The 3Gs in the 3G Camp/Seminar stand for Girls, Guys and God!

Those of us working with teenagers and youths will know that sex and BGR are hot and serious stuffs that young people are struggling with… promiscuity, pornography, pre-marital sex and a whole range of others issues.  The 3G Camp/Seminar is much more than abstinence!  It is about correcting misconceptions, gaining a Biblical understanding of sexuality and being empowered to live and grow in purity for the Lord!

The main teaching syllabus for the 3G Camp/Seminar is outlined below.  These modular teaching sessions can be conducted in the setting of a camp, conference, seminar, or the usual weekly YF meetings.

1.    THREE SHOCKING TRUTHS ABOUT SEX

The first of the series teaching, this module focuses to counter misconceptions about sex that bombard today's youths.  This session explores issues such as God's design for sex, sexual sins and human sexuality.  The foundational teachings in this seminar should preceed the other seminars.  (For a more in-depth study, this seminar can be done in two 45-minute sessions.)

2.    TO DATE OR NOT TO DATE

"Who says I am too young to date?"  This teaching module is designed specifically to answer this commonly asked question.  Participants are challenged to examine a simple check list to see if they are ready to date.  The seminar concludes by proposing "Friending" as a radical option to dating.

3.    TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT?!

"Can we hold hands?  What about kissing?  How far is too far?"  This teaching module tackles the tough issue of physical contact or intimacy in a Boy-Girl Relationship.  Participants will examine the chemistry and emotions of physical contacts and will be challenged to make a stand on sexual purity.

4.    THREE 4-LETTER WORDS

This module helps youths explore questions like Is it OK to be attracted to someone of the opposite sex, or even the same sex?   What is puppy love?  Is there love at first sight?  What is genuine love?  The seminar examines how like, love and lust are related.

5.    SINGLE AND SWINGING

Everybody is born a single and most remain single at least for the first 25 years of their lives.  This teaching module attempts to present a wholistic understanding of singlehood, examines whether celibacy is a gift from God and explores how we could live our single days purposefully and meaningfully for God.

6.    BEYOND FRIENDSHIP

What should we do if we are interested in somebody?  How do we know that person is the one?  This teaching module helps youths and young adults find guidance when a relationship becomes romantic and moves from friendship to courtship.
